The Prayer Breakfast will take place on Saturday 4th February 2012 at 08.00 a.m in the Pirie. We would be delighted to see old friends return and of course will welcome anyone who wishes to come for the first time.

It would be especially good to welcome any lady in the congregation or outwith the congregation to the Prayer meeting.

It is not essential that folk pray long or theologically sounding prayers, the Lord hears all of our petitions and requests through the power of the Holy Spirit.

If you would like further information please use the e-mail address at the drop down menu requesting prayer and I will reply as soon as possible.

A warm invitation is extended to anyone who would like to join us for Prayer; the time of prayer is led by one of the group and usually consists of three parts.

There is no requirement to pray out loud, silent prayer and meditation is perfectly acceptable; we normally finish with a simple breakfast of rolls, preserves and tea or coffee around about 09.00.

Further details can be obtained from Jack McHugh if needed.

We are very fortunate in Freeland to have a Church where Prayer is at the heart of many people’s private and corporate devotions.

Prayer is something that Jesus expects us to be involved in, equally he also expects us to want to pray not only for ourselves but for others too.

I know that there are many folk in our fellowship who quietly and without fuss intercede with The Lord for others and I would encourage them to continue to do so.

I have felt for some time now that we might benefit by having a Prayer Chain in Freeland.

Many folk will have had some experience of a Prayer Chain, some may not.

I would envisage a Prayer Chain in Freeland to have a group of concerned Christians who are ready and willing to pray for others, they would be contacted by e-mail when a request is received and they would pray for whatever the request was about.

There would be no follow up to check if the person prayed or how often they prayed; that would be a private matter between them and God.

There would of course have to be complete confidentiality and a request would only be sent out if specifically requested by an individual.

I would anticipate that folk could ask for prayer by e-mail through the website or by telephone or personal contact, and it would be good to have two or three folk who are prepared to be contacts.

If you would like to become part of the Prayer Chain please let me know by using the link requesting prayer.
