The weather forecast is very good for tomorrow- despite the rain today.
We plan to be in the car park for the service at 10.30.
It is good to be back and a report of my trip should be appearing on the website soon.
This week Jack Mc Hugh and I have been at the General Assembly.
I have written something about Mondays events on the website. The Kirk Session meets early in June and there will be a further report after that.
The papers for this years General Assembly are now on the Church of Scotland website.
The most controversial debate is going to take place on Monday 20th May on the report about same sex relationships in the ministry.
It would be good if people could read the report and become familiar with the issues in order to focus our prayer and to give us a deeper understanding of what is involved.
Can I encourage people to attend the special service at Killochries this Sunday.
I don't think that 8.00 am on a March morning in the open-air will catch on as a regular worship time! However this is very much a one-off opportunity to go back to our roots and to worship in the same spot where the congregation began.
It looks as if the weather will be kind to us and it will be good to celebrate the resurrection just after the sun has come up.
Can I say a big thank you to everyone from the 4 churches who helped to make last night such a success.
It was lovely to see Linwood Church packed and to share in the energy of the choir.
We were reminded that the children have had to bear a great deal of suffering in their lives and it was challenging to see how they now show such joy.
It was good to be there and to be encouraged by both the choir and the sense of fellowship which we enjoyed.
The BB Coffee Morning is going to be on Saturday 23rd March from 10-12 noon in the church hall.
For the last few years it has been a great success and has helped to fund the company.
This year the BB have decided to donate 50% of the proceeds to the local food bank.
Donations of baking and other gifts would be very welcome.
For many years I was an SU camp leader and my own development in faith was greatly influenced by SU.
Throughout my ministry I have been delighted that so many of our members and young people have been involved with SU too.
It will therefore come as a shock to know that SU are experiencing some financial problems and there is the threat of possible redundancies amongst the staff.
All of us are fully committed financially but if anyone is able to help I am sure that donations would be very welcome.
I have to be honest and say that I was worried about the healing service.
Once we embark on something new and open the service up we are moving out of our comfort zone and taking risks.
However all my fears proved to be utterly groundless as we were all aware of a very special sense of Gods presence in our midst. The service was very calm and peaceful and at the same time deeply moving.
We prayed for many people and can I ask that we continue to pray that God will minister to us all.

Can I just remind everyone that this Sunday Evening we will be offering an opportunity to people to seek prayer for healing.
As well as praying for physical healing we will also be praying for other issues such as addiction problems and relationship worries.
If anyone would like to come and be prayed for and wants to know more about what will be happening then please telephone ( 690918) or speak to me on Sunday morning.
Tonight we are meeting again at 7.30 for prayer and at 8.10 for Bible Study.
We are looking at Exodus 19 tonight.
