WEST RENFREWSHIRE YOUTH TRUST needs more people on its Management Group.

WYRT’s great work over recent years is bearing fruit among local young people and in local schools. The potential exists to do more and build on this strong foundation but the work is now being hampered by the lack of support at a planning and oversight level.

We are looking to boost and enrich the voluntary Management Team by recruiting a clutch of new members.

WHAT DOES WRYT NEED?
• People willing to contribute the general oversight of the Trust, the generation of ideas and support for the Youth Worker, Dougie Adam.
• An individual willing to take over the role of Chairperson
• An individual willing to take over the role of Secretary

WHO CAN HELP?
• Representatives of local churches that currently help finance the work
• Representatives of other churches who have enjoyed a connection with WRYT’s work
• Representatives of local schools whose youngsters have benefitted from WRYT’s activities in the past.
• Individuals motivated to generate more opportunities to spread the Gospel message among local young people.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE BEFORE I COMMIT MYSELF?
That’s easy! Come along to a special meeting at 7.30pm on Tues. 16th April in Linwood Church where the future of WRYT will be discussed and your questions answered.

WRYT CONTINUES TO SHINE A LIGHT
At its 7th AGM on Wednesday 1st June at 7.30pm West Renfrewshire Youth
Trust welcomed representatives from SU and congregations across West Renfrewshire to Freeland Church to receive a comprehensive update on the past year’s work. With a spirited lead from Freeland’s Praise Band the event began with praise and prayer including a reminder from Scriptures (1John1) that “.... God is light, and in him is no darkness at all....” and that we are called upon to make this Good News known, especially among the young people in our community.
