There is a mixture of Bible teaching, videos, fun activities, crafts, discussion and prayer. Approximately every 6 weeks, all the churches in our area come together, in different locations, for a Youth Fellowship event and when these meetings are not in Bridge of Weir, transport will be provided.
PRAYER and BIBLE STUDY MEETING
On the first and third Wednesday evenings each month at 7.30 pm we meet for a time of prayer and Bible Study. (On the alternate weeks there are house groups which meet to share fellowship, to pray and to study the Bible). This provides an opportunity for praying together and for learning more about the Bible and discussing together parts of the Bible we are unsure about.
CHURCH CHOIR
The MUSIC GROUP also meets at 8.45 pm and if you can play an instrument or would like to sing with this group, you are welcome to join them.
Click on Boys Brigade for information on their meeting times and activities.
HOUSEGROUPS
THE MONDAY HOUSEGROUP meets in various homes on the second and fourth Monday of each month. The exact location can be obtained from Jack McHugh. We will begin a new study in the Lifebuilder series of publications about The Fruit of The Spirit. We would be delighted to see new members or indeed anyone who would like to come along and sample the fellowship and friendship which we share. Please do not feel that one visit commits you to lifelong attendance.
If you would like more information give me a ring Jack McHugh 612789.

FRIENDSHIP CLUB
There has always been a place in the Church for women to share in worship, fellowship and service, and on Monday evenings, approximately 6 times a year, the Friendship Club meets in the Pirie at 7.3O pm
WHIST CLUB
Every Tuesday afternoon at 2 pm a number of people gather for an informal chat, tea and coffee and an afternoon spent playing whist.
THURSDAY COFFEE SHOP
The Pirie is the venue for our weekly Coffee Shop. Freshly made tea & coffee (or juice for the children)are available plus a selection of delicious home baking. This service is organised by Joyce & Shirley who manage a rota of church members who provide the home baking and waitress services from 10am until midday.Coffee Shop is patronised not only by church members but also by local residents and visitors to Bridge of Weir. A warm welcome is offered to everyone who comes into the Coffee Shop and a table top Welcome Message presents an invitation to visitors to join us at one of our services or other weekly activity groups.
If you are free on a Thursday morning why not pay us a visit – we’d love to see you!
Freeland Ramblers have been on the go for over 10 years and previously went by the name of Freeland Hillwalkers – an indication that their aspirations and fitness levels are now on the decline!
However, they have still managed to visit a number of scenic and interesting places in recent years, as the photos below show, and whilst they may not be bagging Munros any more they still walk up to 10 miles on most of their walks.
The group comprises people from Freeland and their friends, and as well as experiencing some spectacular Scottish scenery in their walks, they also enjoy one another’s company and usually finish off with a meal or refreshments afterwards.
They normally have their outings on the last Saturday of each month and would welcome new members. In 2012, they have planned a varied programme of walks. If you would like more information about the Ramblers, please contact David Adam tel: 690192 or Andy Robertson tel: 690538. The programme of walks for 2012 can be found below or it can be downloaded as a pdf file - click Freeland Ramblers 2012
