ARK WEEK 2013 - 1st to 5th JULY

This summer's Ark Week is being organised by Lorna & David Yee.

Ark Week is the highlight of the summer for many local children and all the helpers who take part and it's one of our principal ways of reaching out in a fun way with the Gospel message to the young people in the Bridge of Weir community.

The title of this year's club is 'SPACE MISSION' and it promises to be an out-of-this-world experience.
The club welcomes children from P1 to P7 - including those about to move from Nursery School to Primary School as well as P7s about to go to High School. There is no charge for participants.

Sessions run from 10am -12.30 and 2-4pm.

Lorna and David will be glad to hear from everyone who is available to help out at the club this year. Whether you can help every day or only on particular days Lorna and David will be glad of your support.

You can pre-register your child by phoning 0141 533 1305 otherwise just turn up at Freeland Church at 10am on Monday 1st July.

2012 ARK WEEK HOLIDAY CLUBBERS PROVE THEY'RE GREAT SPORTS!

Image
Over 60 children from Primary 1 to Primary 7 from the local area attended Freeland's 4 day holiday club this year. From Thursday 28th June to Sunday 1st July our halls well filled with cheers, singing, laughter and sporting activity as the children discovered what it means to be part of Jesus's team. Entitled 'On Your Marks...' the club explored aspects of Christian living discovering the importance of teamwork, sharing the Good News and sticking to the task of discipleship. The 'Closing Ceremony' of the club's global games took place in the church during Morning Worship and the congregation joined in some team activities and sang along with the children as they performed songs they had practised during Ark Week.

We are very grateful to Susan Wylie and her team who so ably led the groups throughout the week.We are also indebted to our Minister, Kenneth, who so energetically and enthusiastically organised the games which were thoroughly (and noisily) enjoyed by the children. Let us all continue to pray for all the youngsters who took part that the seed of the Gospel sown last week takes root and flourishes in good soil.

ARK WEEK 2011

Our holiday outreach club, took place from Monday 4th until Thursday 7th July, the first week of the schools' summer holiday. Many children who had just completed P1 to P7 took part.
